Pastillas Juanola are a famous brand of liquorice tablets made in Barcelona. The pharmacist Manuel Juanola created them in his pharmacy at carrer Montseny 83, in Gràcia (Barcelona). Now his pharmacy doesn’t exist any more but the tablets still have his name and are well known all over the country.
I’d like to take a picture of Caldocel, a brand registered by my grandfather in his lab at Farmàcia Marquès. I know there are a few copies and I have to contact the owner to let him know my interest… whenever I have some more time.

A crane for Japan

An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish, such as long life or recovery from illness or injury.
las1000grullas is a web site where you can send your photograph of an origami crane (they already reached 1000 of them), as a way to help Japanese people and their wish to recover from the earthquake and tsunami disaster. This is our contribution to the project :-)
